Vibration
and Oil mix very well. A suspicion
on gear wear through vibration analysis get confirmed
through wear debris analysis of gear oil. Similarly
thermography reveals internal heating very early
which is not possible through vibration or wear
debris analysis technique. Internal heating would
have manifested itself very late. A combination
of Vibration, Wear Particle Analysis, Thermography
and other NDT methods help in very early warning
and Root Cause Analysis.
IIPM is
the only organization offering a mix of condition
monitoring techniques under one umbrella. It has
been observed that by practicing all CBM techniques
together an increase in 15 to 20%
of OEE is achievable.
